Think of the countless business possibilities: being able to call your current or potential clients at the exact moment they click on your page. That is now possible, all thanks to CallPage, a company based in Poland that offers this service.

The difference between a visit and a closed deal

In a world where it makes a big difference to have a client on the website or to have them quickly moving on to Facebook, this new app represents an extremely positive change. CallPage began in 2015, when the founders Ross Knap, Sergey Butko and Andrew Tkachiv thought: “why are visitors leaving our site?”. So they started by doing consultancy in companies and, after a few hours of brainstorming, they made the first sketch of this tool.

Humanising contact with the client

Instead of sending messages or emails, or using service bots, the CallPage founders thought it would be better to humanise contact with clients. And why not call them?

“Our tool analyses the user's behaviour inside the website,” says CEO Ross Knap. “Then it works out whether the visitor is interested and offers them a free 28-second call. The interested person leaves their phone number on the website and the tool puts them in contact with the available manager,” he explains. If that manager is not available, the app moves on to another. After the phone conversation, the client will receive a thank-you SMS. And that does not involve any extra task.

Business owners invest in the new tool

The team managed to raise about €4.5 million with the support of a joint venture, which invested because it believed in the success of this new tool. Currently, CallPage already has 3,000 clients and makes 280,000 calls a month. The Polish company started with only €50,000, also given by another investor.

Plans for the future

Ross Knap and the rest of the team have big plans for the future. The CEO says CallPage “will continue the development plan”, and it already has a team dedicated to centralising every client's phone calls in the company's system alone.
